Carbine I


Carbine I covers the basic function and manipulation of the tactical carbine.  Students will zero their rifles and learn how to effectively set up and operate a carbine as a defensive/combat weapon.

Prior Instruction Required: None

  • Weapon Manipulations to include Reloads and Malfunctions

  • Marksmanship Fundamentals

Required Gear:

  • Eye and Ear Protection
  • Reliable Carbine *
  • Sling
  • Minimum of 4 Magazines (more is better)
  • Pouches for 3 Magazines on Body (belt mounted or chest rig)
  • Rifle Lube
  • 400 Rounds of Factory Ammunition (minimum)
  • Water/Snacks
  • Black Sharpie

Not Required But Highly Recommended:

  • Notebook and Pen
  • Hat
  • Rain Gear
  • Sunscreen
  • Gloves
  • Kneepads
